How to Change Your Mweb Email Password

• This guide shows you how to update the password for your Mweb email address in your online account.

  Before you start

  Your new email password must:

  • Include at least 1 number
  • Include at least 1 capital letter
  • Include at least 1 lowercase letter
  • Include at least 1 special character, either @ or !
  • Be 8 to 15 characters long

  Example format: Mwebmail1@

  Do not use this exact example as your password.

  Step 1: Log in to your Mweb online account

  Go to:

  my.mweb.co.za

  Log in using your mobile number, email address, username, or Google login.

  If you use mobile or email login, you will receive a one-time PIN. Enter the PIN to continue.

  Step 2: Go to My Email Accounts

  Once logged in, open the menu on the left.

  Select:

  My Services
  Then choose:
  My Email Accounts

  Step 3: Open the mailbox settings

  You will see your Mweb email accounts.

  Find the email address you want to update and click the action wheel next to it.

  This will open the Mailbox Settings window.

  Step 4: Open Access Details

  In the Mailbox Settings window, click:

  Access Details

  This section shows the email username, email domain, password fields, and the webmail service login link.

  Step 5: Enter your new password

  Enter your new password in the password field.

  Re-enter the same password in the confirmation field.

  Make sure the password follows the rules shown above.

  Step 6: Save your changes

  Click Save.

  Your Mweb email password will now be updated.
  

• Important

  After changing your email password, you must also update the password on any device or app where your Mweb email is set up.

  This includes:

  • Outlook
  • Apple Mail
  • Gmail app
  • Mobile phones
  • Tablets
  • Any other email program

  If you do not update the saved password on these devices, your email will stop sending or receiving.
