Mailbox Quota Warning – What It Means and What to Do

  • A mailbox quota message usually means your mailbox is close to full. To stay safe, always check by logging in directly at https://www.mweb.co.za/webmail ; never use links in an email.

    Be Careful of Phishing Emails

Always check that the message is genuine.
A real quota warning from Mweb will never include a link to click or ask for your password.
You should only log in directly at https://www.mweb.co.za/webmail or by typing this address into your browser yourself.

If an email includes a link that looks suspicious, don’t click on it; delete it immediately.

    Why You Received This Mail

Each mailbox has a storage limit. Once you reach this limit, new emails can’t be delivered until space is freed up. The quota message is a reminder to help you avoid missing emails.

    How to Free Up Space

    1. Go to https://webmail.mweb.co.za.

    2. Log in with your Mweb email address and password.

    3. Delete old or unnecessary emails, especially large ones with attachments.

    4. Empty your Deleted Items (Trash) and Junk folders.

Tip: If your email account is set up using IMAP, you can also delete emails directly in your mail app (for example, Outlook, Apple Mail, or your phone’s mail app). These deletions will sync with your mailbox online.
