How to Setup New Outlook on a Windows Computer

• New Outlook for Windows is a best-in-class email experience that is free for anyone with Windows 10 or higher.
  It can be installed from the Microsoft store.

  
  To get started, launch Outlook for Windows from your start menu.
  If it is not installed, install the Outlook for Windows app from the Microsoft Store and then launch it.

  Follow the easy guide below to setup Outlook on your Microsoft Windows-based computer.
  

• You will need to have your username and password for your mailbox ready.
  If you’re not sure how to find your mailbox login details, you can follow this guide.

  Welcome to New Outlook

  • Select your email address from the list or add it in the Suggested accounts block
  • Click Continue

  Fill in the mailbox Incoming server details

  • Enter your e-mail password

  • Click on Show more

  • IMAP Incoming server (imap.mweb.co.za)

  • Port (993)

  • Secure connection type (SSL / TLS (recommended))

  • Scroll down to configure the SMTP server settings

  Fill in the mailbox Outgoing server details

  • SMTP username (Enter your primary MWEB email address)

  • Enter your email password

  • Outgoing server (smtpauth.mweb.co.za)

  • Port (465)

  • Secure connection type (SSL / TLS (recommended))

  • Click Continue

  Sync your IMAP Account

  • After reading click on Continue

  Microsoft respects your privacy

  • After reading click on Continue

  Getting better together

  • Choose Yes or No to sending optional data about Outlook to Microsoft and click on Accept

  Powering your Experiences

  • After reading click on Continue

  • Outlook will now complete your setup.
• If you have any email addresses ending in iafrica.com, netactive.co.za, wol.co.za, etc. or if you are using a Mweb-hosted domain, you should still use these Mweb server settings.

  Click on the settings cog inside of Outlook to add or further manage accounts and settings.
